Transport Fever 3 Industries: All 32 Production Chains
Chain finder
What does it take to make…
Built from the official manual's industry list. Steps run from the cargo you picked back to raw materials; booster cargo is listed separately because the chain runs without it.
Raw producers
These need no input. The range is the yearly output scale: production grows as the industry adds plots (fields, shafts, plantations) around itself, so keep that land free.

Processing industries
Numbers are the ratio shown in the industry window: the left side is consumed, the right side produced. A plant only starts once its input stock has cargo in it.

How production and boosters work
- Output stock is not infinite. Cargo waits at the industry until a line set to load that cargo picks it up. Once the output stock is full, production carries on but the surplus is destroyed.
- Worker boost: any industry produces more if a passenger line brings workers there often enough. It switches off when too few have arrived recently.
- Cargo boost: raw producers also accept Fertilizer, Machines or Tools as a booster. The boost lasts only while that input stock has items.
- New industries spawn when town demand rises or a town asks for a cargo type for the first time, so a quiet map fills in as your towns level up (see town growth).
Industry questions
How many industries are in Transport Fever 3?
The official game manual lists 32 industries in free game mode: 13 raw producers that need no input and 19 processing plants. Campaign missions add a few special ones not in this table.
Which industries only appear in one climate?
Subarctic only: Paper Mill, Printing Press. Tropical only: Rubber Farm, Tire Factory. Everything else spawns in two or more climates.
How do I boost an industry?
Every industry gets a worker boost if a passenger line brings enough workers to it. Raw producers can also be boosted with Fertilizer, Machines or Tools delivered to their input stock; the boost stops when that stock runs out.
Do unused industries close?
Yes, unless closure is set to Never. An industry that has produced, consumed and shipped nothing for 10 years and is not owned by you gets a 730-day countdown, then disappears.
